That's just one of the consequences of being as good a defender as he is.
Sacramento 02/20/09 Defensive rebounds: 11 (2 times). Night in and night out, if you are getting defensive assignments against offensive players of that caliber, you are just going to get more fouls than usual. (born August 17, 1986) is an American professional basketball player. When they played the Lakers, he was guarding Kobe. For example, when the Grizz played the Spurs and the Mavs, he spent a lot of the game guarding Duncan and Nowitzki. Secondly, and i think more importantly, Gay routinely gets assigned to defend the best offensive player on the other team. I'm more interested in his minutes and the stats that effects.įirst of all I think he is young and still learning how to defend in the NBA.
I could care less what his fouls do to my PF category honestly, with my team it ends up a punt category anyway. Is he reaching in to make strips, fouling on loose balls, getting zealous on block attempts, what is he doing to draw so many fouls? He is missing game time some nights for early foul trouble, and that is what hurts his stats. Does anyone know the root of the cause here though? That was the purpose of the thread in the first place.
